From Our Community

One thing that I love about working here is that we are such a beautifully diverse community. We are rich in linguistic diversity, racial diversity, spiritual diversity, and that just is such a privilege to exist in. What I also love about this on middle school is that we are a restorative campus, meaning that we do everything possible to try and build community within our our campus, through connection, breaks, ways to engage in conversation. Not only does that build my community, but also improves my teaching because students feel safe and trusted in my space.

One of the best things about our girls attending Pflugerville ISD is the Dual Language program that reinforces their Spanish language. Having two young children in public school almost guarantees that their home language would be replaced with English. Having the option of continuing their Spanish development at school is such a benefit. The Dual Language teachers are amazing. I cannot overstate the appreciation I have for the diversity they add to the entire school exposing students to not only Spanish speaking cultures but the beauty of all cultures and customs. Pflugerville ISD is a very special place with incredible opportunities available for our kids and I am so pleased to have my girls participate in the dual language program.

I love my school because it’s a community. We support each other. When I started, so many teachers stepped up and stopped in to make sure I felt empowered as a new teacher. They gave me supplies and furniture and helped me get my footing.
